Spring is FINALLY in the air in Denver, CO and while we are all geared up for the sunshine and the flowers and cocktails on the patio, there is something else about this change of season that makes it our favorite time of year.
Of course it’s difficult to not get a little giddy about spring. Clichés aside, we find that this particular transition out of the chilly, dark days of winter lights our creative juices on fire. It’s a time for fresh ideas, sexy fashion, exotic travel and (most of all) a new perspective on style.
A few of our favorite ways to usher in the season? New bed linens, pillows and towels to create a cool vibe in your bedroom and bathroom. Decluttering your office, entryway and kitchen and organizing the rest into chic storage bins and boxes. While you are at it, add some bright pops of color and new artwork to any spaces that seem dull or tired.
To get you in the mood (just in case the sunshine hasn’t convinced you that it’s really spring), here are a few things that are making their way onto our moodboards right now.
We say all of this with one caveat: Living in Colorado, our springs are sometimes full of snow so don’t put away those coats and boots too soon!

One of my favorite things to do in the spring is refresh my entryway. This is such a great example of how a coat of paint can totally transform a space. This is pink, but you could go bright with red or yellow or dark with emerald green or navy. Add a few stylish baskets for organizing clutter.

Fashion this season is all about a mix of modern lines and feminine details. This bathing suit pairs a delicate lace bottom with a structured top that almost suggests the petals of a flower. Thinking this needs to make its way into my closet ASAP.

One of the first things I do each season is find a new way to tame my thick, dark hair. Loving how this braid keeps the hair out of her face, which is particularly necessary on a hot, 80 degree day in the middle of May.
Over the years I have had a lot of convertibles. One of the best feelings in the world is cursing around with the top down, wind in my hair and sun on my face. It’s spring baby!
A little glam. A little glitter. A little Boho beach babe, this outfit has spring written all over it. There is a toughness to all of the girly with the big silver cuff and cutoff shorts—the silver paillettes and handmade bag keep it cool and funky.
Pink is having a major moment in both fashion and interior design. I want to find a way to incorporate the colors and ideas from this Gucci campaign into a room—pink, preppy and punk rock with gold and leather…hmmmm…
Birds of a feather…and what feathers! Colorful, brilliant and totally over the top, these little guys are on my radar right now. I adore the brilliant blue, soft pinks and snowy whites.
Leontine Linens is our go-to for gorgeous bedding. This shot of one of their collections pretty much sums up our idea of this season. The pinks, the oranges, the lavender…it’s all just deliciously spring-y don’t you think?
